Inspired by a recent visit to the magnificent Nataraja temple at Chidambaram. The temple has an idol of Lord Shiva and Tillai Kali's dance competition which is also referenced in the anupallavi of this Kriti. This is a beautiful composition of Sri Ramaswami Sivan in the raga Kedaragaula, preceded by a viruttam in Kharaharapriya, Varali and Kedaragaula.
